I’m a Cumbrian based landscape photographer who loves nothing more than going out on adventures with the camera. I initially started out just taking snaps of places I visited, then at the back end of 2010 I wanted a better camera so bought my first DSLR and just continued snapping away for another year or so, and then the bug bit me, and my passion for land and seascape has spiralled ever since.
By the end of 2011 I started taking it more seriously and now it is my main passion, although I love the journey and adventures to the places every bit as much as the actual capturing of the photo. I just live and breathe landscape photography. Most weekends you’ll find me out and about, whether it be up in the Highlands, down in the Lakes, or over on the east coast.
I am now also an official Pro Partner for Benro Tripods and an Ambassador for KASE filters, which is a great honour to represent two manufacturers of great quality photographic equipment.
I’m a joiner by trade, and I also run a few landscape photography workshops, as I love sharing what I know and love with others, and watching them progress in their quest to become accomplished photographers.
Photographers that inspire me:
Scott Robertson, Mark Littlejohn, Billy Currie
My Favourite photo:
I think it’s still my Rattray Head Lighthouse shot, although it changes often, I still come back to this shot, as not only was it a great day out with a good friend, but it also got me my first commendation in the UK Landscape Photographer of the Year 2015
When I became a professional:
2014 after being made redundant from my joinery job.
